There are many beautiful villas on the lake but only four are open to the public: Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzi, Villa Monastero and last but not least the most beautiful one, Villa del Balbianello.
Villa del Balbianello is not only beautiful because it stands on a promontory and overlooks the whole lake but it is also difficult to reach.
If you have never come to Como lake you must absolutely see it, as well as the gardens, the interiors are also full of charm.
Its last owner was the famous explorer Monzino, don’t miss his house museum!

Navigate along the coast until you reach Villa del Balbianello where you will have 90 minutes to visit the interior and its beautiful garden.

With our boat is very easy to reach the other side of the lake: from Varenna we can get directly to Villa del Balbianello after about 40 minutes of navigation. On the way to our destination, we will cruise past Cadenabbia, Tremezzo and Lenno.
We will see Villa Carlotta, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and many other Villas.
Once we reach Villa del Balbianello, a private English speaking guide will be waiting for you to show you the interiors of the house, explaining all its secrets.
After the inside tour you can visit the gorgeous garden.
We will pick you up at the pier and take you back passing through San Giovanni, Loppia, Bellagio and Fiumelatte.
If you are staying in Bellagio or if you want to visit it, we can drop you off in the village center. If you then want to return to Varenna or Menaggio you can take the ferries that run every 20/30 minutes.
From Bellagio you can also take the hydrofoil (fast service) to go to Como.

Yes, the tour departure only from Varenna from my Flotaing dock.
Check-in time for your tour is 10 minutes prior to departure.
How many people are there on the boat?
The number of participants on the tour will be from 10 to 12 travellers.
We can drop of in Bellagio when return?
Yes we can drop off in Bellagi or in Varenna, please remember at the captain your drop off.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The Captain retains the right to choose if it’s necessary to cancel/ postpone a service according to the weather forecast and his experience.
If we cancel the tour because of the weather, you’ll be completely
refunded.
We are a group of people. Can we book the boat privately?
Of course, send me a request for information specifying how many people you are and if you are all adults and I will send you the quote.
Can I bring the dog?
Dogs are allowed small size but they can’t stay on the pillows or get the boat dirty. Inside the villa they must be held in the arms
How much does the tour cost?
The total cost of this tour is €70. The boat tour is €48. The additional €22 is the villa entrance fee which is payable locally in euros.
In case of delay, can the boat wait for me?
Tours will depart on time (including departure from the villa) and cannot wait for you if you are late.
Do I have to make a reservation or can I just show up?
No, but we recommended to do it. Reservations are required for guarantying a spot on our tours.

- Inside the Villa the backpack must be held.
- No wheelchair or stroller. For this reason make sure you are ok to walk. There are steps and a hill to reach, from the boat, the top of the Villa.
